Debi Moen Joins Parnelli Board of Advisors

LAS VEGAS – Longtime PLSN writer and columnist Debi Moen has joined the Parnelli Board of Advisors. She is an Austin, TX-based journalist with deep roots in the live event world.

“Since 2011, Debi has been a key to the success of PLSN,” says Terry Lowe, Parnelli Awards executive producer and publisher of PLSN and FRONT of HOUSE magazines. “She is known and respected by a large portion of the live event community, and we look forward to her insights and contributions to the board.”

Moen graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Her experience in live event reporting started in 1986 at the concert touring trade publication, Performance (where she first worked with Lowe). She left the magazine as a senior editor to kick off 1995 as marketing communications specialist at High End Systems, serving the company for nearly 15 years. A two-year stint followed as PLSN associate editor, where she established herself as an important contributor to the magazine.

Today, her two columns, “Designer Watch” and “On the Road,” are among the magazine’s most-read articles. Along the way, she also gave editorial assistance to the Event Safety Alliance in addition to establishing her own freelance writing/editing/PR services.

“I am honored and excited to collaborate with my colleagues on the Parnelli Awards advisory board as we navigate a new path through this pandemic,” Moen says. “It will be important to provide a gathering place for us to come together again and honor our industry in January 2021.”
