How Winners Are Chosen
Receiving a Parnelli Award is the most prestigious honor in our industry – the nominating and awarding processes have been organized in such a way that it is virtually impossible to “stuff the ballot box.” Truly, it is a jury of our peers that decides who receives this honor, making it all the more meaningful.
A Two-Part Process
Every year, people can come to this Web site and nominate potential Parnelli Award winners. The nominations are tallied and reviewed for authenticity and accuracy by the Parnelli Board of Advisors.
Up to six nominees for each category are then confirmed and announced on this site, through an email blast and in Projection, Lights & Staging News and Front of House magazines. Then individual subscribers (not just readers) are allowed to vote on our Web site’s secure voting page. One vote per subscriber is assured – each voter must use the subscriber number printed on their copy of the magazine’s mailing address label. There are over 40,000 combined subscribers to both magazines.
Voting for the Parnelli Awards is now open. Only current subscribers to Projection, Lights & Staging News and FRONT of HOUSE magazines get to vote. Voting will close on December 13 at 12:00 pm (PST).
