Haney, O’Keefe Join Parnelli Board of Advisors

The governing body of the Parnelli Awards announces two additions to its Board of Advisors: Mark Haney and Michael O’Keefe.

“I was honored to be asked to join the Parnelli Board,” says Haney, who took home a Parnelli last year for his video direction of the Eric Clapton Tour. “I hope that I can contribute positively to what is an already world-wide event that recognizes artist, vendors, and most importantly, people’s accomplishments in the live entertainment business.”

“I’m honored to be part of the Parnellis,” says O’Keefe, founder and president of St. Louis-based Technical Productions, a full-service entertainment production company. “I look up to the people who receive these awards, and am truly honored to be in the room with them.”

O’Keefe’s company is celebrating its 20th Anniversary doing concert production and set design, concert tour media, and corporate work. The video currently being seen on the Carrie Underwood tour was shot by them, and they were a part of the original “greatest show on turf,” NFC championship opening event of 1998 – a gig they have done every year since. O’Keefe’s wife, Elizabeth O’Keefe, is director of creative services for the company and a Parnelli winner herself, as is the company’s associate, Seth Jackson.

Haney is a veteran of over 1,500 live shows as a live event video director. Working for diverse artists over a nearly 20 year career, he has produced and directed for webcasts, phonecasts, television, and event capture for DVD release. Haney spent two years as an account manager with NEP/Screenworks in Los Angeles, California, and was a monthly contributor to PLSN magazine for five years.

Haney and O’Keefe join Marshall Bissett, Kent Black, John Brown, Steve Gudis, Loren Haas, Bob See, Dave Shadoan, Robin Shaw, David Stern, and Chairman Patrick Stansfield.
